THe Resilient rho sigma chapter
The Rho Sigma Chapter was successfully chartered on the campus of the University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC) on Friday, December 22, 2006 by the following five (5) ambitious, intelligent and resilient women: Ashley Burress, Cherlisa Jackson, Stephanie McIntosh, Ashley Watson and Angela Sublett.
After overcoming the challenges that unfortunately presented at every turn, the
“Resilient” Rho Sigma Chapter, which was the first undergraduate charter for then
sponsoring graduate chapter Upsilon Zeta Zeta (Grandview, MO), was finally welcomed on the UMKC Campus on Tuesday, January 16, 2007.
Since inception the members of the Rho Sigma chapter continue to further advance
the ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated through remarkable academic
excellence, relentless service activities on the campus of UMKC and surrounding areas, real sisterly love and readily exemplification of Finer Womanhood. Home to educators, entrepreneurs, fashion designers, musicians, nurses, therapists, pharmacists and many more...the members of the Rho Sigma Chapter continue to enthusiastically carry the torch once bestowed by beloved charter members to new horizons through our individual interactions, and community involvement.
